LSCM strengthened collaboration with Mainland partners

LSCM has been working closely with different partners in Hong Kong and in the Mainland in technology R&D for years. Recently, LSCM has further strengthened the collaboration with mainland institutions with an aim to foster technology advancement and adoption in the region.

LSCM and CS Intelligence (Guangdong) Information Technology Co.,Ltd. incubated by Guangzhou Software Application Technology Research Institute (formerly the Guangzhou branch of the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences) have carried out an experimental project of "One-Data-Multiple-Declarations” system (「一單多報」系統) with the support from Guangdong Electronic Port Management Co., Ltd.  and funding from Innovation and Technology Commission. The system enhances efficiency and simplifies the customs declaration process by enabling the trade documents to be prepared once and submitted to both Customs across the boundary for declaration. It would foster the industry development, thereby boosting economic growth and facilitating trade activities in the region.

In addition, LSCM has also partnered with CAS Smart City(Guangzhou)Information Industry Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Software Application Technology Research Institute to establish the “Guangzhou-Hong Kong Joint Laboratory for Smart City and Digital Economy development” (「基於粵港智慧城市與數字經濟的聯合實驗室」) where the LSCM team will provide important technology support for the project development in the laboratory.
