The exhibition titled “Hong Kong’s Maritime Miracle: The Story of Our City since 1945” organised by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum is being held from 24 June to 30 October 2022 to showcase Hong Kong’s transformation into a global maritime hub after World War II. In the exhibition, LSCM showcases the Tele-Control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G and Smart Service Robot in form of an interactive game for the visitors to enjoy the fun of using technology.

The School of Professional Education and Executive Development of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU SPEED) organised a series of free live webinars with the theme of “Dialogues with Business and Supply Chain Leaders – Series 1 - 3” from June to August 2022. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, was invited to talk about “Smart Cold Chain Management and Innovative Technologies”. The series of webinars aim to connect the participants and provide them with the latest information on the development and opportunities in the smart supply chain, cold chain and innovations & technologies.

Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, introduced the innovative technologies that could be applied in cold chain management.

Organised by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the PolyU InnoTech Open Day was held on 16 July 2022. The event comprised of an exhibition, seminars, themed tours and other activities. It is excited that Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, was invited to introduce the latest technology developed by LSCM. He also had a discussion with the other two speakers on “Smart Cities and Innovative Land and Space Creation”.

The publishing industry has initiated digital transformation and started developing a Smart e-Book Hub. In this initiative, LSCM has provided technology support to the Hong Kong Publishing Federation to develop an AI translation platform to provide domain-specific translation with high accuracy and convert the publications to e-books. The “Text-to-Speech” technology also helps to convert the e-books to audio-books. Mr. Kevin Yeung, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ir Dr Alan Lam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LSCM, and Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, attended the launch ceremony on 21 July 2022. At the event, Dr Frank Tong, Director of Research and Technology Development of LSCM, introduced the features and functions of the platform.
