Project Title: | An Acoustic Signal Pattern and Vital Sign Wireless Wearable Device Integrated System for Living Behavioral Anomaly Detection using Deep Learning AI Models |
Hosting Institution: | LSCM R&D Centre (LSCM) |
Abstract: | According to "2016 Population By-census Thematic Report: Older Persons", theproportion of older persons living with spouse only and those living alone rose by from 32.8% in 2006 to 38.3% in 2016. Therefore, caregivers might not know the living alone elderly situation very well. This project is to study and develop a non-intrusive low cost BLE acoustic environmental sensor device for audio source pattern recognition. In additional to integration with some wearable vital sign monitoring devices, these collected sensor data can be further analyzed for elderly living behaviour monitoring through the developed machine learning model and notify caregiver if any anomaly occurs to mitigate the risk of living alone. |
