Ir Dr Angus Cheung is a Chartered Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Engineer with over 30 years of technical and senior managerial experience in aviation, aircraft engineering, electrical & mechanical engineering, and artificial intelligence. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK), Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), Institution of Engineers, Australia, Hong Kong Institute of Directors and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Angus joined China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) in July 1997 as their CEO until his retirement in January 2020. He became the CEO of Aerovision Technology Limited which is a company based in Hong Kong
Science Park since April 2020 until now.
After graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Angus pursued his postgraduate studies in University of Hong Kong (HKU), Chinese University of Hong Kong, Warwick University and Oxford University. Apart from serving as Chairman and Member of different Advisory Committees for HKU, PolyU, HKUST,
CityU and RMIT, he is also an Industrial Fellow of Warwick University, Adjunct Professor of PolyU, Distinguished Professor of Macau City University and Visiting Professor for Civil Aviation University of China.
He is currently President of Hong Kong Aviation Industry Association, Member of Hong Kong Airport Technology Advisory Council and HKSAR Government’s Aviation Development and Three Runway System
Advisory Committee. He is also a Member of the Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics Advisory Committee and Advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation.
Angus was awarded “China’s Outstanding Persons for Enterprise Innovation of Year 2010” and “China Economic Personage” in 2015. In 2017, he received the Outstanding Mechanical Engineering Alumni Award from PolyU.
