Mr Victor Ng worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu for 26 years till May 2010 and was admitted to the partnership in 1996. He was a member of the China Management Team and was in charge of the Southern China Audit practice of the firm from 2005 to 2008. Prior to his early retirement in May 2010, he held the position as the deputy managing partner for its national audit function in China.
In respect of public appointments, he has been appointed as a director of Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre Limited and the chairman of its Finance and Administration Committee since January 2019. He is a member of the Enterprise Support Scheme Assessment Panel and the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund Advisory Committee of the HKSAR government. Mr Ng served as a council member of Hong Kong Productivity Council (“HKPC”) from 2006 to 2016, the chairman of the Audit Committee of HKPC (from its setting up in late 2005 to 2010), the Deputy Chairman of the Council and chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee of HKPC from 2011 to 2016. He also acted as a director of the board of Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (“NAMI“) since July 2012, a member of the Finance and Administration Committee since July 2012, and the chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee of NAMI since December 2012. His term in NAMI ended in December 2018.
Victor holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences from The University of Hong Kong, an Executive Master Degree in Business Administration (Dean List) and a Master of Arts in Comparative and Public History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Victor is a past president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) in Hong Kong and currently a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and ACCA.
