Dr Miranda Lou is the Executive Vice President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, overseeing institutional advancement, mainland development, alumni engagement, finance, human resources, communications and public affairs, campus development and facilities management.
Dr Lou has more than 20 years of strategic, business and functional management experience in the business and public sectors. She has worked for The Wharf (Holdings) Limited, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (OOCL Group). Dr Lou's last position was Chief Operating Officer of OOCL Logistics, leading the strategic planning and global business development of the company. Prior to that, Dr Lou had served in different global and regional leadership roles within the OOCL Group.
Dr Lou is currently council member of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and member of Advisory Committee on Post-office Employment for Former Chief Executives and Politically Appointed Officials, Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries & Conditions of Service, Hong Kong Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, Hong Kong Logistics Development Council and the Logistics Management Committee of The Hong Kong Management Association.
Dr Lou received her Doctor of Business Administration degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Master of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Master of Science in Financial Management from the University of London, and Bachelor of Arts from The University of Hong Kong.
