LSCM demonstrated its capability in Financial Technology in Chengdu 80, a FinTech Design and Development Hackathon which took place on 30 October to 5 November 2018 in Chengdu. A team of six, led by LSCM expert, Chan Chun Fai and students from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hong Kong, took part in the competition. Participants were given 80 hours to design, implement and prepare pitching to the judges about the prototype of a platform that helps issuers to launch their personal IPO, and investors to bid for the shares. The team shared the 2nd Award (Pioneer Award) together with UC Berkeley.
