Collaborated with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the LSCM R&D Centre has successfully developed a “Real-time Environmental Monitoring System” to preserve national treasures in a more comprehensive way. The system has made its debut in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: “Western Scientific Instruments of the Qing Court” exhibition at Hong Kong Science Museum to monitor temperature, humidity, illumination, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, vibration of exhibits from the Palace Museum in real-time for 24 hours. A media tour was arranged on 6 August to preview this innovative technology.
