LSCM Logistics Summit 2019
Having received overwhelming support from the government, industry and the academia in the previous years, LSCM’s annual Logistics Summit took place once again this year in the Grand Hall of Hong Kong Science Park on 20 September. Gathering more than 1,000 guests from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas, the Summit was an exceptional opportunity for the industry players to discover the latest trend of technology development and advancement.
The theme of this year’s Summit was 'The Pivotal Role of Hong Kong in the Greater Bay Area”. LSCM demonstrated its expertise in the research and development of innovative technology by showcasing the Centre’s award-winning and novel technologies. Among them were the robotic technologies which can help to transport goods and items in warehouses, such as the Smart Lifter, Follow-Me Robot and Deliverbot; the online platforms which can facilitate trade and businesses, such as the eBRAM Online Dispute Resolution Platform and Hong Kong–Zhuhai Trade Facilitation Platform; as well as other technologies which can improve the people’s quality of life, such as the Smart Traffic Control System, Baby Tag, RFID Blind Cane Navigation System and Smart Service Robots. LSCM’s partner organisations were also invited to take part in the Summit by showcasing the technologies that they developed in collaboration with LSCM, and their own in-house technologies.
In addition to the informative exhibitions, the speeches and presentations delivered by the distinguished speakers from the government and industry experts were another highlight of the Summit.
LSCM appreciates the participation and support of all the guests and our partner organisations in making the Summit a great success. And we look forward to more innovative ideas and insights from the tech community who attends our Summit next year.
