Briefing for LSCM Call for Proposals & Industry and Research Collaboration

With the aim to continuously increase the added value, productivity and competitiveness of our economic activities, the LSCM R&D Centre keeps carrying out projects that aim to break down the technology barriers in hardware, software, systems and network design and development. For 2008, the 1st Call-for-Proposals will be announced in mid April and a briefing session is scheduled on April 16 to share the relevant details of themes for inviting R&D project applications in regard to the latest announcement.
In this half-day event, Mr. John Hammond, member of our Board, will be invited to give a speech on the topic of "Highlights of Vetting Mechanism". Moreover, two breakout sessions will be hosted to share the details of R&D themes and invite closer interaction between the industry and researchers. This is an excellent opportunity for Industry practitioners and research professionals to exchange R&D ideas, and to form partnership for projects in response to this Call-for-Proposals.

The 8th China Chongqing Hi-tech Fair

China Chongqing Hi-tech Fair is the largest technology event in western China. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Fair will showcase the latest developments of military and civil technologies and serve as a technology trading platform.
Innovation and Technology Commission will jointly launch the Hong Kong Pavilion at the CCHTF, scheduled for 17-20 April 2008 at Chongqing International Exhibition Centre with technology support organizations from HK.
