The LSCM R&D Centre has launched a series of Industry & Technology Forum in 2007 to solicit industry requirements and foster research collaborations. And a consultation on LSCM's 2008 R&D Themes which incorporated with constructive input from the industry was just conducted. We are very encouraged by the support of the industry on our proposed directions to address our technology gaps. We are also delighted to note that the industry generally agree with the Consolidated View for 2008 R&D Directions, this has shown that there is a broad consensus between the industry and R&D community. A briefing session is scheduled on 9 January 2008 to share the relevant details of themes for inviting R&D project applications in regard to the latest announcement.

In this half-day event, the LSCM R&D Centre will share the details of the Call-for-Proposals.
